Clothing and accessory designs that reflect all of the things that we feel deep down.  A sense of freedom and being true is what you feel when you wear a Starr Luna t-shirt.  Symbols such as peace signs or fleur-de-lis have far more detail than what the eye sees at a glance.  A mother and daughter team made of true artists.  Every design is hand-drawn with extreme detail.

A  duo that believes in love, chasing dreams, and living life to the fullest, these two ladies put more than sweat and tears into this business.  This is their life, their love, and their passion.  “Be creative” and “true to yourself” is a little more than a hobby or a quick blurb of inspiration, it’s what they live by.

In search of something comfortable and fashionable, eclectic yet versatile, Mary Ann and Starr began sketching and soon created pieces of art.  It was then that Starr Luna was created.

Daughter, Starr Ver Meulen

Starr Luna wouldn’t be complete without the other heart of the company, Starr Ver Meulen, who is the daughter and faithful partner of Mary Ann Casey. Ver Meulen works, having this true  passion for the fashion aspect of the business, to help represent her mother’s artistic inspirations created through her art.

Therefore, the mother daughter business works perfectly in sync by contributing each of their unique talents that work to make the line’s distinct style. Ver Meulen studied fashion merchandising at Auburn University and has an eye for fashion that is proven through each custom t-shirt design style.

Ver Meulen modeled for years and also worked in sales until the birth of her first child which allowed her to be able to work in the different areas of the fashion industry spectrum and be able to gain real experience that is now put to work in the making of Starr Luna.

Starr took on the challenge of starting the clothing line with a driving ambition, which is shown through her true passion that shines through her designs. Even though Starr is now the mother of four and running Starr Luna, she still never forgets to stop, breathe; take it all in and keep doing what she loves.

Designing a fashion line was just one more way for Mary Ann Casey to share her many artistic abilities and show her passion and sensitivity towards nature, family and faith. This accomplished and prolific artist has a passion for design and shows this through her colorful expression and richly textured mosaic of cultural heritage.
After years of creating a eclectic blend of painting, sculpture, mixed-media assemblages, crosses, jewelry and custom designs, Casey decided to start her very own clothing line with her daughter, Starr,  that expresses her inspiration created through these works. Casey started out her love for sculpture in her hometown on a farm in Rehobeth, Alabama, and then soon she added painting and has seemed to continue to expand her professional artist repertoire further.

With Casey’s background in fine arts, she contributes her insightful inspirations from an artist point of view in helping create this comfortable, vintage, yet chic designed shirt that truly makes this niche look of Starr Luna.
